Snowbird, UT

Every other year our family meets together in Snowbird, Utah. The family has grown, the space has not but we still have a great time together.  My dad said that our place looked like a refugee camp, I can't say I disagree.

Kasey and I drove out together Friday night and Jody came with the boys the next day.  When we first got to Snowbird the weather was summer like for the first few days. By the time we left it had started snowing.

Saturday was beautiful.  Every weekend in October Snowbird had Oktoberfest.  Kasey and I took our boys down to the activities.  We rode the ski lift up to the alpine slide.  Ammon and Kaden went ahead of us but once we got on the lift we both realized it was a little high for them to be going by themselves. I was even a little bit nervous riding with Cohen.  We all went down the slide and then took the kids to the jump house area. Sadly they are getting to old for bounce houses because they were done before their time was up.

That evening the guys went to the Priesthood session.  I got a quick picture before the elevator door shut.  The weather was beautiful and with 10 kids between us we didn't want to stay inside.  So we drove down the canyon got dinner and took it to a park.

Sunday we watched General Conference and went on a hike.  Later that afternoon my mom, Alan, Lindsey and I went to the afternoon session of  conference.  My mom and I were in the nosebleed section but we were really glad we went. It was so nice to watch with no interruptions.

I woke up Monday not feeling too great. But I took some tylenol and we went to Park City.  Park City has the best outlets.  Jody and my dad watched the kids while Kasey, mom and I went shopping.  Lindsey popped in and out of the stores too.  After shopping we went back to my Uncle Dane's house in Pleasant Grove and had dinner. It was so fun to see our cousins and their kids.  I kept taking theraflu and tylenol but still wasn't feeling great.

By Tuesday I had full blown strep throat, nice timing.  Ammon had it the previous week.  So I stayed in bed all day Tuesday and slept. It was Lindsey's birthday and we were suppose to go out to eat but decided to switch days because I was sick.  Wednesday I started feeling better and by that afternoon good again.  Wednesday Jody and I ran some errands and then I met Celeste and Sarah for dinner. It was so much fun seeing them. Oh I love those girls. SO laid back, easy going and fun!

Thursday was girl's day out.  We went shopping, out to lunch and got pedicures. We all enjoyed a day out without kids.  We ate lunch at Kneader's, my new favorite place to eat.

Utah is always so much fun.  Good food, good shopping and friends to visit.  Jody and my dad spend three days at Cabela's with Ammon and Cohen.  Rylee loved Uncle Mitch and was hanging on him all weekend.  Mitch also worked with Tate on his walking skills.  He finally started going on his own!  Thank you mom and dad for being such good troopers, letting us take over your room and taking us on your vacation. It may have been crazy. But I'd do it again, any day.
