the most magical place

Check out Ammon's expression. Cohen looks a little crazy too.

You can email the pics to yourself. Something free at Disneyland? Shocker, I know.

Where do I begin? We just had the best time on our trip. It went by way to fast, we got little sleep, but we played hard and it was a blast. The weather was great (maybe a bit too warm) and the lines were short! We were able to go on every ride we wanted to. Often multiple times. Disneyland was even more magical than I remembered it being. Walking down main street literally gave me chills. I even enjoyed the kid rides. Ammon could go on almost every ride. Even Rylee could go on a lot of the rides and she really enjoyed them.

Disneyland is just so family friendly. For rides that everyone can't go on they have a baby pass. The person waiting with the kids gets a pass to use once the first group goes. Then they get to jump to the front. Ammon was a little hesitant to go on the adult rides after Space Mountain. In California Adventure he went on the Tower of Terror and hated it. He screamed and started crying in the middle of it. Surprisingly he actually liked the Haunted Mansion. His favorite ride was probably Pirates of the Caribbean. But he also loved Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan, Toy Story, Nemo, and Soarin over California (as did we all)! Cohen on the other hand loved every ride and would stomp his feet and get very upset if he wasn't big enough to go on a ride.

On Friday we stayed the whole day from 9:00 in the morning until 10:30 at night. We were all exhausted but it was well worth it. We stayed to watch the parade which was very entertaining, the fireworks and hop back and forth from Disney to CA Adventure. The kids did great. We ended up renting a stroller for Ammon that day because he was exhausted from walking so much. I was wishing I could get one too! Aunt Julie, Emily, Rachon, Max, her brother Brett and mom Kelly all came with us on Friday. We had a great time seeing everyone. Aunt Julie was a great help and Emily entertained the boys. Unfortunately Grandma didn't get as much attention when Emily came.

I'm so glad my mom came. She was a great help plus she loves Disney as much as anyone. She's always game for anything.

Saturday we went to Newport Beach and let the kids play. We used to have a Pomeroy reunion every couple of years there. It brought back some great memories.

I love Disneyland! I want to go back next year but I'm afraid that if I go too often it will lose some of the magic for me. Maybe in two years. It is a wonderful place to take a family vacation just don't expect to come home rested.

Love Fall

This is my favorite time of year. I love Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Plus I love this weather and the beautiful colors outside. I've also got some great stuff planned for the next few months.

Tomorrow we are heading to Disneyland! My mom is flying down to go with us. Aunt Julie and cousin's Emily, Rachon and Max are coming to see us as well. We are so excited! Last night Ammon said, "Mom, I think I'm going to be shy of Cinderella." So cute.

In November I am going on a trip with Kasey to Hawaii! It's her 30th birthday and Matt surprised her (he spilled the beans) with a trip to Hawaii with me. We are going for 6 days. My mom is coming to help Jody with the kids. I still can't believe we are really going.

A few days after I get back from Hawaii I head to Utah for our Thanksgiving Snowbird trip. Rylee and I are flying because she isn't very good in the car. So I get to miss the drive and go two days early to hang out in Provo with my mom and Alex.

I've got some great trips planned not to mention the wonderful holiday season just around the corner. Like Alex said, "I have a really good life."

let the good times roll

After a little rearranging we cozy up to watch a movie and eat popcorn together as a fam. The boys think we have our own little theater. This is quickly becoming a Friday night tradish.

Ammon gave himself a haircut! When he looked at it in the mirror he started crying and didn't want to go to school today. He wore a hat and went to school.

Rylee loves this toy. She pushes it all over and then climbs on top and stands up.

Wow that's a crazy face.

Love this boy in a hat.

I love my little family. We have so much fun together. Jody and I have been cracking up at them lately.

Last night the boys were still talking after 10:00 p.m. Jody went in to tell them to go to bed and Cohen said, "I'm singing to Ammon to help him go to sleep." He was singing everyone's favorite lullaby the ABC's.

We played 'hide and go seek' in the house after FHE tonight. I was hiding in the closet for quite a while waiting for Ammon to find me. Jody finally warned me that it could be a while because Ammon took a break and had to go #2. It's hilarious playing with them. If Cohen doesn't tell me where Ammon is hiding than Ammon's gives it away by his laughing in anticipation of me finding him.

Ammon jumped out of the car this afternoon after school sat right down on the pavement and picked a dandelion, closed his eyes, blew and said, "I wish I was King Kong." It was the cutest thing. I was dieing that I didn't have my camera right then. He didn't even notice that I was watching. Then he got up, went in the house and started watching videos of wolves on youtube. I love his little mind.
We head to Disneyland next week!

Co-Boy

This boy has been cracking us up lately. He thinks he's so big.

For example:

  1. To Ammon this morning, "Have a happy school day Ammo. Remember to learn at school today." Jody and Ammon proceed to leave and Cohen yells, "I need a kiss and a hug!" After he gives them both one and they leave and shut the door Cohen says, "I love him. He's a good brother."

  2. After he had been put in bed for the night he sneaks out while I'm doing laundry. "Mommy I need to tell you a secret." Me, "Okay Cohen what do you need to tell me?" Cohen, "I need to tell you in your ear." I bend down and he says,"Mommy I love you so much."

  3. The other night he was saying our bedtime family prayer and he said, "And help me to not say poopy anymore." He does say it ALOT. So now when he says poopy I say that I thought he wasn't going to say it anymore and he says, "oh, I forgot."

  4. I got after him last night for getting into the cookie dough he looked at me with tears in his eyes and in a sad little voice said, "You got mad at me. You don't love me anymore." I remember pulling this one on my mom but not until I was 5 or 6. He's a smart little boy. Today he tried something similar but instead said, "You got mad at me. You're not my mommy anymore."

I've been having so much fun with him lately. He is such a little love and he loves having alone time with me. It's also been fun to see him and Rylee start playing together. And when they fight over things it's usually him that is crying in the end!

In honor of Kasey

Does anyone want to go to the NKOTB concert? You choose Sacramento or San Jose. Prices range from $40-$80. Sacramento concert October 9th or San Jose October 10th. Or Kasey you could fly here for a four day weekend and we could hit it up together? We could make our childhood dreams come true. J/K!

Someday...

I will buy this camera. Hopefully when we get our tax return. I've decided to try to use photoshop to fix my pictures up. This is one I just did a few things on today. I think it looks better but I know there is a lot more I could probably do. This site is great for help with photoshop. Once I get my dream camera I want to take this class that she offers.

Enjoy

Just love this little girly body and all the girliness about her. Aunt Lindsey gave her these sunglasses for her birthday and she loves to wear them. She acts really silly when she puts them on. Then she takes them off and tries to put them on me. She talks a lot of gibberish these days. Sometimes it sounds like she copies what we say and then Jody and I look at each other and say, "It sounded like she just said.." She is such a joy. Still taking two long naps a day and going to bed at 7:30. She loves to torment Cohen. If he has a snack or toy she wants she grabs it from him and runs. He ends up screaming and chases after her. Usually I have to jump in because she is a strong little girl. Poor Cohen it's hard being the middle child.

I talked to Taiylor's mom (the little girl who chases Ammon) yesterday at school. She said that Taiylor talks about Ammon every day and she has a huge crush on him. I told Ammon about it this morning and he said, "Yeah she likes me. Her friends tell me every day that she wants to kiss me. But I'm not even old enough. I can't even drive yet!" I taught him well!

Labor Day

Ammon and Lex

The cage

entertaining herself

Welcome to my tree house!

I wasn't looking forward to taking our small tribe to Trinity last weekend. Rylee is at this fun age where she can't stay still. If we let her down she takes off. To keep her safe she must be enclosed or tied down at all times. Knowing we would be on a boat where she would have to wear a life jacket or in camp where she would be stuck in the trailer or strapped into her stroller I was anticipating drama. Fortunately the drama was limited to car rides only! We actually had a great weekend.

The boys love the lake and Cohen is such a pleasure to take now. He had a great potty training weekend. Rylee handled her wearing a life jacket like a champ which made it easier for me to relax.

Highlights:
  • Jody took his bike and went on a few rides. One in which he thought he heard a bear! And saw lots of bear poop.
  • We all slept outside with my dad. Except for mom. Love falling asleep looking for shooting stars and imagining the worlds upon worlds that exist.
  • Waking up in the middle of the night and everyone needing to pee.
  • Laughing so hard my stomach hurt.
  • Taking the boys to their beloved tree house.
  • Hearing Ammon say, "This is the best day ever!" He got to swim, go to the tree house numerous times, get ice cream cones at Trinity Alps, watch the Lion King and roast marshmallows.
  • Seeing Ammon and Cohen entertain each other for hours.
  • Finishing Breaking Dawn. Call me a sucker (hah) but I loved it.
  • All of us adults taking naps after church in the middle of camp while the boys played and did whatever they wanted in the background.
  • Cohen pulling down his pants whenever and wherever he felt the need!
  • Turtle hunting with Dad though none were caught this time :(.
  • Keeping up to date on Alex's romance. They love each other!
  • Seeing Cohen really feel like he belonged with Ammon and his friends Jake and Lex.
  • Watching my best friends kids and my kids play together. You always dream of this day when your younger but to see it actually happen is so cool.
  • Rylee locked up in her cage lounging back on her chair.
  • Spending yet another wonderful vacation with two of my favorite people, Mom and Dad!

Anything else mom? I'm sad to say that I didn't even get into the water!
